The Cell Barnes Youth Project has run several 'On 2 wheels' bike projects.
These projects provide opportunities for young people between the ages of 14 – 16 to learn
about motor bikes.
They learn how to cope with an emergency needing 'first aid' as well as visiting a fire
station to see the damage done to vehicles involved in road traffic accidents.
One of the most important aspects of the course, which is often overlooked, is that the
young people are challenged to think about the effect that illegal riding has on other
members of their community; they are also encouraged to find solutions to the problem
of lack of facilities within their local area.

During the course the young people learn the basic maintenance needed to keep a crosser
bike in working order.
Once they have covered the 'In the mind' and 'Under the tank' part of the course they are
taught how to ride an 'off road bike' safely.
